Carnitine or L-Carnitine is a main ingredient in many diet pills and supplements. L-carnitine is found in an enzyme complex (carnitine acyltransferase I, carnitine translocase, and carnitine acyltransferase II) that helps transport long-chain fatty acids across into the mitochondria where fatty acids can be metabolized efficiently.

...like the previous reviewer said, you will need at least THREE pills a day to feel the effects of the hunger suppresant. When I take the pills, however, it's not like i "don't feel hungry"...i feel "bloated" and/or i feel like carrying an anvil (cue Wiley Coyote jokes here) on my stomach...YMMV...but I don't see myself using this product anymore.

I am an MD myself. Like to try alternative meds. This one works, but not greatly. At 3 or 4 caps I have less of a tendency to think about food, and a subtle decrease in appetite. I decided to give it a 3 month shot; will try to report back as to if I lose any weight. 1 or 2 is useless, so this can get expensive.

I had tried Meridia to curb appetite, however the side effects were scary, in the end decided to find something more natural like herbal etc., DietRx curbs appetite just like meridia without the side effects and also I notice it kind of uplifts mood too. A more gentler and kinder way to go.
